Let’s fly!

  • Tailwheel Endorsements

Flying planes with the little wheel in the back is the best kind of flying! To fly a tailwheel aircraft a pilot must get training and an endorsement in his/her logbook. Generally, a pilot can expect 7-10 hours of flight instruction and 1-3 hours of ground instruction, not to mention improved skills, confidence and bragging rights.

  • Discovery Flights

I bet we’re alike: as a kid I dreamed of soaring over the countryside, the sun setting, wind in my face while gently riding the thermals wherever they took me. Who hasn’t dreamed of flying like a bird? It all begins with what the aviation industry terms a Discovery Flight, or what I prefer to call an adventure flight.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

You have many questions, I have some answers. Am I too old? Too young? How much does it cost? Can I gift a flight? Will I fit in your tiny airplane? Is your airplane tiny? Is it safe? What’s my favorite coffee? Am I vaccinated? Is learning in a tailwheel airplane hard? I have answers to these and more!

  • Private, Sport or Commercial Pilot

Whether you’re looking to become a Private, Sport pilot or Commercial Pilot I’m here and ready to help you reach your goals. My fundamental belief is that flying should be safe, fun and that all people should have a chance to learn how to fly. Or if you simply have general questions about flying, I’d be glad to help!

  • My Aircraft

My airplane is part of the iconic Cessna 120/140 airplane lineage that was first built at the end of WWII. While many still fly what makes my 1950 Cessna 140A unique are its all glass doors (patroller doors), larger engine and modern upgrades which include GPS, ADB-S and improved safety with a four point harness seatbelt system.

  • Location: KXNX

I am based at Music City Executive Airport (KXNX) in Gallatin, TN an easy 40 minute drive from Nashville. Often referred to as the Gallatin Airport, it is very well maintained, has plans for a new terminal building and is likely the best kept secret for less busy airspace near Nashville for training and private ownership.
